Western Conference Finals Review

#3) Minnesota Timberwolves vs #5) Dallas Mavericks

(DAL wins 4-1)

Gentleman’s sweep. These playoffs have been about matchups, and this series did not go off script. After shocking the world in a grueling series against the defending champion Denver Nuggets, the Minnesota Timberwolves came up short against MVP finalist and league-leading regular season scorer Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks. Coming into this series, it was almost a clear consensus the Timberwolves would advance but the Mavs had other plans. The Timberwolves seemed to be completely emotionally and physically spent. Anthony Edwards said, “We came out flat…” when asked about his and the team's stamina. The Mavericks' role players played above their usual contribution, pleasantly shocking many unfamiliar with the Dallas players. Kyrie had one of the best playoff series of his career, averaging  27.0 points, 4.6 assists, and 3.6 rebounds. The Mavericks disbanded of the Timberwolves in an underwhelming five games.

Will the Mavericks’ role players keep up their level of play? How will Kyrie Irving perform? Comment your thoughts below!
